Gender Based Inequality and Violence Against Women in India with Shefa Sikder Shefa Sikder is a hero for women’s issues. She is broadly informed on women’s inequality and laser focused on gender based violence in South Asia. She is currently on project with a large NGO in Bihar, India where she oversees programs that help families understand the importance of women’s equality.
This conversation turned out to be much broader than India- and how gender based violence and inequality are actually JUST as prevalent in rich, Western countries as they are in places like Bihar, India where there is a lack of infrastructure and support systems for victims.
